National Art Honor Society Rotating Exhibit

January 09, 2013

We all have other sides to ourselves.

This exhibit is a collection of visual alter egos of the 2012-2013 NAHS members.  It may be defined as a self portrait, a fantasy representation, an aspiration for the future, or a raw depiction of one’s feelings of themselves.

This theme was selected by this year’s chapter and developed over the first semester of the school year.

The 16 NAHS members hosted a gallery opening on 12/13/12 at the Freeport Art Museum, which was attended by 87 people.  Student artists, their families and friends all had an amazing evening.  A big thank you to Swiss Colony for donating the food, to members :Kat Karberg Abbey Edmonds and Rachel Schwiess for providing the music, and to the Freeport Art Museum for giving us the space.

If you were unable to attend the opening, please check out the calendar and see the artwork for yourself when it makes to your local library.
