Students are recognized as outstanding by going above and beyond in class. They must have solid attendance, show leadership, be willing to try new things, be respectful, and work hard.
1st Quarter
Nicole Ault - Nicole is a second year graphics student and senior from Galena High School. She is the current president of National Art Honor Society. Nicole was recognized as an Outstanding-Student-of-the-Quarter for a variety of reasons. She shows added maturity and growth this year. Her artwork is stronger, everything comes in on time or early, and she is a class leader.
Tim Dayton - Tim is a second year graphics student and senior from Stockton High School. He was recognized for 3 main reasons. Tim works really hard every single day and his artwork shows a high level of talent. Additionally, he is always the first person to assist his classmates. I frequently rely on Tim to help out in class.
Torie Dreyer - Torie is a second year graphics student and senior from River Ridge High School. She is always on task in class and creates strong artwork. Torie has taken on more of a leadership role in class this year and frequently helps her peers. She is someone that I can easily rely on to assist in any class activity.
2nd Quarter
Erica Noll - Erica is a first year graphics student and a senior from Stockton High School. She immediately took to the class and her leadership skills are amazing. Erica is always the first to take on extra tasks, assist a peer, help the instructor, or learn a new skill. She has a great attitude and is very mature for her age. Her artwork and skill set have already taken off in a short amount of time. Erica is a member of National Art Honor Society
Jose Valladares - Jose is a first year graphics student and junior from River Ridge High School. He brings hard work and humor to the class. Jose is always on task and interested in artmaking, while also staying true to himself. He interacts easily with his peers and participates in class critiques in a very thoughtful manner. He shows an advanced level of artistic talent. Jose is a member of National Art Honor Society.
Ben Rosenthal - Ben is a second year graphics student and senior from Galena High School. He continues to work hard in class and be interested in all things art. Ben can be counted on to push himself to learn new skills and refine his current skills. I frequently look to Ben for feedback and thoughtful comments. His artwork continues to grow in strength and be well beyond his age. He is the vice president of National Art Honor Society.
