by Irene Thraen-Borowski

January 22, 2011

On Wednesday, January 12, 2011, the AVC National Art Honor Society chapter hosted the Hero Exhibit's gallery opening at the Freeport Arts Center. Over 80 local community members, families, former students, principles, superintendents, teachers and heroes attended our event.  This was the largest student opening on record, according to the Freeport Arts Center.
