Child Care Student Teachers Attend Work Shop

Child Care II student teachers, Caitlynn Greve, Samantha Miller, Sara Davis & Samantha Randecker hosted a work shop on the Family Ties Program. Diane Kussmaul, Program Coordinator for Family Ties,was the presenter. Mrs. Kussmaul explained the programs philosophy and how a typical preschool day would go. One of the highlights of the work shop was creating activities that could be used with preschoolers. Many of the materials were common household items. The Child Care student teachers had an opportunity to create activities that enhance learning while encouraging great preschooler involvement. After participating in the work shop, the Child Care student teachers have a lot of new ideas to try with their preschool classes. The Child Care students are planning another work shop in December.
