October 11, 2008

CAD students at JDCAVC now benefit from training on the latest versions of AutoCad software. AutoCad 2009 has been installed on the CAD/GIS lab workstations, and is the preferred system for AVC students experiencing training in drafting and design.

Students can work with:

Architectural Desktop - a platform that creates 2D and 3D architectural designs.

Autodesk Inventor Pro 2009 - a parametric modeler   designed for mechanical design applications.

AutoCad Civil 3D 2009 - AutoCad with features for Civil Engineering and Design.

To learn more about this software visit: Autodesk's website.

First year students are currently learning and enhancing skills with the CAD system and drafting, working in 2D to learn the language of drafting and to master powerful, complex software applications.
